Paul Revere Sights

Cory's cousin Maria and her husband MacLane spent a few hours sightseeing with us in Boston. Here we are in front of Paul Revere's House and also in front of a statue of Paul Revere near the Old North Church (where Paul Revere hung the lanterns to warn the people that the British were coming).

Ethan and Kristie's Birthday Party

Even though Ethan's birthday is early in July, we decided to combine his party with mine and with his Uncle Stan's. Ethan certainly enjoyed being with his cousins, and the highlight of the evening was when Ethan (after following his Uncle Alan's instructions) smeared frosting all over his head.

Another Trip to Vernal

Ethan and I were able to spend some more time in Vernal in July. Here are a few pictures that we took before having dinner at Red Canyon Lodge near Flaming Gorge Dam.

Kristie's 31st Birthday

Although Cory and I weren't together, he still showed he cared by sending me flowers and a balloon for my birthday.

Hogle Zoo

This was Ethan's first trip to the zoo. He called every animal, "doggy". Honestly he was more interested in pushing the stroller than looking at the animals.

It's probably hard to tell, but there is a bear in this picture.

Ethan's favorite part of the zoo was the water feature near the entrance.

Pool Time

Ethan enjoyed playing in his pool while in Vernal. Sometimes Maxx, Grandpa's dog, would join him.

4th of July

Ethan and I spent the 4th of July at Grandpa Stan and Grandma Ellen's house in Vernal. They bought him special swim trunks for the holiday. He was also able to ride the 4-wheeler with Grandpa Stan.

Sights of Boston

Kristie's mom, Nora, and stepdad, Harold, came to Boston to visit in June. We were able to do a lot of sightseeing. Here are a few of the highlights.

Here we are at Plimoth Plantation. At the plantation they have recreated a colonial village and also a family dwelling of the native people.





Here we are in front of the "Old State House" in Boston. This is where the Declaration of Independence was read for the first time. Every year on the fourth of July they have a reading of the Declaration of Independence and a few years ago, Queen Elizabeth was the person who read it.


We just had to include this last picture. It's a dessert that we had at a local restaurant. It's called "The Edible Chocolate Bag." Are you salivating yet? Mmmmm.

New Joys for Ethan

In June, Ethan discovered that he could put other people's shoes on his feet. He especially likes to put on Mommy's shoes because they make more noise on the floor. He also discovered the joy of putting clothes on his head.


Ethan loves music and when Mommy exercises, the music moves him too and he attempts to follow along. We get a kick out of watching him.

Memorial Day Barbeque

Our ward hosted a barbeque on Memorial Day. After deciding that it wasn't so scary, Ethan finally took his turn at the moon bounce. He had a blast! We love our ward!

May Trip to Utah

It's been a long time since we last updated the blog. These posts are long overdue. In May, Ethan and I went to Utah for my brother's wedding. He enjoyed getting to see his cousins, especially Aubrey.

Cory wasn't able to go with us because of finals. He bought me some beautiful flowers to welcome me home.
