Joseph Smith Birthplace

A couple of hours from Boston in Sharon, Vermont, the church erected a monument near the site where Joseph Smith was born. Cory had the week off from school so we took advantage of the time on Thursday and headed to Vermont. At the monument, they have a small visitor's center where we were able to watch the new Joseph Smith film that the church made. It's not very busy in the winter so we had the little theater to ourselves. We enjoyed the watching the movie while Ethan played on the floor with some blocks.


This is the visitor's center. As you can see, they get a lot of snow there. We picked a good day to visit. It was sunny and 40 degrees.

Cory took advantage of the snow (since it has all melted in Boston) by throwing snowballs at Ethan (never hitting him of course). Ethan got a kick out of it. He also had fun running around the monument.

Safety First

So we don't really think that Ethan needs to wear a helmet to ride his tricycle, but Ethan saw his helmet while we were moving some storage items to a different location. He insisted on wearing it and now insists on wearing it in the house too.

More Bathtime Fun

Ethan sure loves to be in the water. He loves to put his head in the water. Will he grow up to be a swimmer? We shall see.

I'm A Little Prince(ss)

Ethan was invited to attend a princess birthday party a couple of weeks ago. He didn't seem to mind the girly theme. In fact, he enjoyed wearing a tiara (he likes the color pink too). We are happy that he is so secure with his masculinity. :)

I'm eating "Caca"late!

This picture was taken on Valentine's Day while Ethan was eating his Valentines chocolates. When asked what he was eating, Ethan responded by saying that he was eating "cacalate." Kids say the funniest things!

Beantown

So Boston is known as Beantown, but there is also a place a bit north of here that is also called "Beantown." It's a little town made entirely of jelly beans. Ethan kept trying to take the beans off of the flowers, and he also enjoyed pushing the cart through the town.
